I left the British army in 2015 after serving 6-years as an army physical training instructor. I had no savings but was extremely driven to succeed within the civilian fitness industry.
The initial 6-months after leaving the armed forces were financially the hardest I have ever experienced, and in all honesty, the thought of failing was terrifying.
Things were really slow to start. However, I realized early on that many seemingly average individuals were part-time Weightlifters, Powerlifters and Ultra-Athletes, and these people wanted expertise. So I took the approach of “Bringing Strength and Conditioning to the Masses.” (My first tagline)
I applied this approach to the sessions I ran and the content I created, and within 18 months, I opened my own strength and conditioning gym and gained a publishing deal for my first book, which became a bestseller on Amazon.
I still spend over 50 hours in the gym each week and have an ever-growing publishing schedule. However, I also dedicate time to my online academy and other ventures, such as delivering workshops internationally and mentoring fitness professionals and athletes online - you can check out all of my books, courses, and the other services that I offer by clicking here.
